Ascent’s Rate Check Feature

Ascent sought to offer a new feature allowing users to check their eligibility for products without completing the full application. To create a seamless and user-friendly experience, I designed a single-page flow that highlighted the simplicity and speed of receiving eligibility results. As the lead UX designer, I collaborated closely with the product, marketing, and compliance teams to ensure the feature was not only intuitive and efficient but also aligned with Ascent’s goals and regulatory requirements. This cross-functional collaboration allowed me to create a streamlined, transparent process that put users' needs at the forefront, providing them with quick insights into their eligibility with minimal effort.

New projects present new opportunities

As the lead designer on this project, I was empowered to explore a range of possibilities for UI features, allowing me to push the boundaries of what the experience could be. This led to the development of new illustration assets and a fresh UX approach that balanced functionality and aesthetics. I adopted a 'best of both worlds' strategy, ensuring the design was both user-friendly and flexible.

The result was a one-page experience that segmented information into digestible sections, making it easy for users to check their eligibility quickly. I also prioritized mobile responsiveness, ensuring that users could seamlessly check their eligibility on the go.

Additionally, this project gave me the opportunity to rethink how we displayed the various products users were eligible for. By leveraging existing icon assets and introducing new color schemes, I created design styles that not only enhanced the visual appeal of the experience but also established a consistent design style that could be applied throughout the entire product experience.
